Found one of my all time favorite diners on the way home from Vermilion OH, in Park man, OH of all places. This little roadside diner has a very unique look, but the food really takes the cake. I had the Hickory Bacon Burger. Every bite had BBQ flavor, the burger was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Bruschetta Burger and she loved it. And the apps were AMAZING. Had the Maple waffle fries. These were so good. Also pickle fries, cause I'm from Dillsburg PA, you know pickle town... Thank you for keeping this place open. It will become a regular stop on our trips to Vermilion Ohio!
So glad we stopped here to eat. So good for a quick meal! And excellent customer service.
If I lived closer to this place, I would be there every day. Best retro summer vibes ever. We went here on Mother’s Day on a whim after antiquing, just to get some ice cream, and ended up ordering food too because everything looked so delicious. I had a coffee malt and the mini burgers. Best onion rings EVER, too!! I’ve been drooling over this place ever since.
The food here was good and filling. Neither one of us could finish our burgers. The barnyard was HUGE. However, this place is on the spendy side, be prepared to spend a bit. I think the barnyard basket was $22. The fries were absolutely delicious. Service was great. I believe the woman that came out and spoke to us and the other customers asking how it was, was the owner. Super friendly and sweet. Great atmosphere.
We’ve been visiting this place for almost 30 years. The frozen custard is amazing and worth the stop for that alone. The dining room is always clean and inviting. The food menu is big with lots of choices including traditional favorites and creative new things! Try the maple waffle fries!! The burgers are very impressive too. It is a seasonal business so check dates and times.
Go here. Even if it's out of your way. Go. Absolutely fantastic food!! Large menu, with several specialty items. Excellent value for the money! I ordered the Bruschetta Burger. It. Was. Glorious. Half pound burger, topped with garlic butter sauce, and bruschetta. Plenty of topping with each bite. I also order the maple waffle fries, just because I had to know what they were like. Again.....absolutely delicious!! The fries have a slightly sweet taste to them, with a light coating of cinnamon. They come with a maple dipping sauce, that took the whole appetizer out of this world. My husband ordered the hickory Barbecue burger, and pickle fries. He loved the burger. I tried the pickle fries.... Again: amazing!! And I'm not even a huge fan of pickles! The staff were absolute sweethearts. Very welcoming. Made sure we were good on refills, and didn't need anything. The asthetic of the dining area was fabulous. Super sharp 50's diner look, but with an unique color scheme. (Not just black and white and red or pink.) I loved it! It was also very clean inside, including the bathrooms. This is definitely on our list of "when we are within 2 hours of", we will be going!!
Favorite restaurant ever!!!! My family waits all winter for them to open the doors and we are always there on opening day. Favorite foods: Cajun burger with sweet potato fries, mushroom and Swiss burger, southwest rolls, and Mac n cheese bites. Bob makes his own signature honey mustard which is amazing. My kiddo loves the Superman ice cream served with eyeballs and my dogs love the pup cups served with a dog treat as garnish. The pizza is delicious. Service with a smile and everyone is so wonderful and nice. Christy and Bob have a wonderful establishment and my family will continue going and spreading the word to others about this well kept gem!
Best things happen on the road. And that's was our meal here. Simply amazing, it couldn't be any more tastier. Kind waitress as well
